On 2 June 2024, Hon. Mr. Sukarno Matha, President, and member of the Thailand-Egypt Parliamentarians Friendship Group met with Mr. Chanon Ridmad, President of the Thai Students’ Association in Cairo under the Royal Patronage and other representatives of the Thai students in Egypt at the Royal Thai Embassy. Both sides exchanged views on important issues, such as employment opportunities after graduation, upskill programs, relocation of the office of the Thai Students’ Association, and health services for the students.

On this occasion, Hon. Mr. Sukarno handed over a fund of 50,000 baht from Hon. Mr. Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, President of the National Assembly of Thailand, to the Thai Students’ Association to support the Thai students in Egypt.
