NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS
1. Category “F” | To perform non-diplomatic duties (work at or under supervision of his/her diplomatic missions) |
2. Category “B" Category “IB” |
- To conduct business / to work - To invest or perform other activities relating to investment, subject to the provision of the established law on investment promotion |
3. Category “ED” | To study, to come on a work study tour or observation tour, to participate in projects or seminar, to attend a conference or training course, to study as a foreign Buddhist monk |
4. Category “O” | Other activities as follows: To stay with family, perform duties for the state enterprise or social welfare organizations, to receive medical treatment, to be a sport coach as required by Thai Government, to be a contestant or witness for the judicial process |
5. Category “M” | To work as a film-producer, journalist or reporter |
6. Category “R” | To perform missionary work or other religious activities with the concurrences of the Thai Ministries or Government Department concerned |
7. Category “RS” | To conduct scientific research/training/teaching in a research institute |
8. Category “O-A” | To stay after retirement for a person who is 50 years old or older |

Passport |
A passport or travel document valid for at least 6 months beyond the validity of the requested visa. - Underage applicants must apply with their own separate passport. Children applying with their parent’s passport(s) will be rejected. |
Residence Visa (For Non-Egyptians) |
Photocopy of EGYPTIAN Residence Visa *Every Non-Egyptian applicant must have an EGYPTIAN Residence visa and the visa must have a minimum of 6 months validity. |
Itinerary |
Copy of reserved round-trip ticket from the airline - The ticket must show the applicant’s name |
Bank Statement |
Original stamped saving or current bank statement with account balance of not less than 35,000 EGP for previous consecutive 3 months (35,000 EGP per person or 70,000 EGP per family). Please provide English version showing the applicant’s name and currency. Credit card statement is not accepted. - For underage or unemployed applicants, please provide the bank statement of the parents or spouse with clear copies of marriage certificate and birth certificate in English, and copies of their passport or ID card. The bank statement of siblings is not accepted. |

2. Category "B" |
2.1 Category "B" (for work) 1. Letter of approval from the Ministry of Labour To obtain this letter, the applicant’s prospective employer in Thailand is required to submit Form WP3 at the Office of Foreign Workers Administration, Department of Employment, Ministry of Labour (Tel. +662-245-2745), or at the Provincial Employment Office in his or her respective province. More information is available at http://www.doe.go.th/en/home 2. Academic Certificate and Curriculum Vitae detailing work experiences of the applicant. 3. A copy of Work Permit issued by the Ministry of Labour and alien income tax or Por Ngor Dor 91 (only in the case where applicant has previously worked in Thailand). 4.Corporate documents of associated partners/companies in Thailand such as: 4.1 Business registration and business license 4.2 List of shareholders 4.3 Company profile 4.4 Details of business operation 4.5 List of foreign workers stating names and nationalities (Por Aor Ngor 1) 4.6 Map indicating location of the company 4.7 Balance sheet, statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (Por Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30 of the latest year 4.8 Value added tax registration (Por Por 20) An alien who receives a Non-Immigrant visa can work in the Kingdom of Thailand once he or she is being granted a work permit. An alien in violation of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979) concerning taking up employment without a work permit or the Royal Decree B.E. 2522 (1979) concerning holding employment in certain restricted occupations and professions shall be prosecuted and imprisoned or fined, or shall face both penalties. 2.2 Category "B" (for conducting business) 1. Letter from applicant’s company indicating the applicant’s position, length of employment, salary and purpose of visit(s) to Thailand. 2. Letter of invitation from trading or associated partners/ companies in Thailand 3. Corporate documents of associated partners/companies in Thailand such as: 3.1 Business registration or business license 3.2 List of shareholders 3.3 Company profile 3.4 Details of business operation 3.5 Map indicating location of the company 3.6 List of foreign workers 3.7 Balance sheet, statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (Por Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30 of the latest year) 2.3 Category "B" (for working as teachers) 1. Letter of acceptance from employing institute school in Thailand 2. Evidence of educational qualification such as diplomas or teaching certification 3. School license or business registration, list of shareholders and school profile 4. Applicant’s resume 5. Police certificate verifying that applicant has no criminal record or equivalents or letter issued by authorized agencies in applicant’s country |
3. Category "ED" (Education) |
1. Foreigners who wish to study in Thailand must provide the following documents: 1.1 Letter of acceptance from the concerned schools/ universities or institutes 1.2 School license or business registration, list of shareholders and school profile. 1.3 Letter of approval from Ministry of Education (for Thai courses in private institutes) 2. Foreigners who wish to participate in projects or seminar, to attend a conference or training course in Thailand must provide the following documents: 2.1 Letter from applicant’s company indicating the applicant’s position, length of employment, salary and purpose of visit(s) to Thailand. 2.2 Letter of invitation or acceptance from the concerned companies/ organizations or institutes with business registration or business license 2.3 School license or business registration, list of shareholders and school profile |
4. Category "O" |
1. Foreigners who wish to stay with family in Thailand must provide the following documents: 1.1 If you are a former Thai citizen, please provide proof of Thai citizenship such as Thai passport, Thai identification card, Thai house registration or Thai birth certificate, should be submitted. 1.2 If you want to visit as a spouse or family member (son or daughter), proof of the relationship such as a copy of marriage license or birth certificate with a proof that your spouse or family member is a Thai citizen, should be submitted. 2. Foreigners who wish for volunteering work with the state enterprises or social welfare organizations in Thailand must provide a letter of invitation or acceptance from the concerned companies/ organizations or institutes with business registration or business license. (single entry only) 3. Foreigners who wish to be a sport coach as required by Thai Government, to be a contestant or witness for the judicial process in Thailand must provide a letter of invitation or acceptance from the Thai Government or concerned organization. For football players, the employer/club must get approval from Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
5. Category "M,R,RS" |
Approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand * For Category "RS", the letter from the National Research Council of Thailand is required. |
