On 7 April 2025, Mr. Niwat Apichartbutra, Commercial Attaché, Office of Commercial Affairs in Cairo, and Ms. Thanavon Pamaranon, Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, participated in the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Hi-Tech North Africa Apparel LLC at the Qantara West industrial city in Ismailia, under the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), which considered to be the first Thai company to invest and set up a factory in Egypt.  Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority of the SCZONE, Major General Pilot Akram Galal, Governor of Isamailia, and Mr. Wason Vitanakorn, Chief Executive Officer of Hi-Tech Group and Chairman of Hi-Tech North Africa also attended the ceremony.

On this occasion, the Commercial Attaché as a representative of Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, expressed heartfelt congratulations and appreciation for being part of this important ceremony which constitutes an important milestone for the Thai private sector. This investment will serve the joint interests and will lead to more trade and investment opportunities between the two countries in the future.
