On occasion of the Ramadan Holy Months, Mr. Chainarong Keratiyutwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt paid a courtesy call on His Eminence Dr. Ahmad Mohammad Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, the Grand Imam Sheikh of Al-Azhar of Egypt, at His Eminence’s  Office, on Thursday 24 May 2018. The Ambassador greeted His Eminence with best wishes and discussed  about education and welfare support for the Thai students studying at Al Azhar University.  He also took this opportunity to deliver an annual financial contribution of one million Thai Baht from the Royal Thai Government to Al-Azhar University  for the benefit of Al-Azhar’s students. The Grand Imam thanked the Government of Thailand for the kind contribution and praised the diligence, attention and good manners of the Thai students as well as reaffirmed His intention to visit Thailand around the end of this year.
