On 13 June 2018, Mr. Sata Arayakul, Chargé d'affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, hosted on behalf of His Excellency Mr. Chainarong Keratiyutwong, the ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, an Iftar for Thai Muslim students in Egypt on the occasion of Ramadan Holy Month A.H. 1439 at Salah Gamel Conference Hall of Al-Azhar University. The Embassy together with the Thai Students’ Association in Cairo under the Royal Patronage have joined hands to hold the annual event every year in order to foster an Islamic activity for the Thai Muslim students in Egypt. This year the event comprised the Quran recitation, Maghrib pray, talks and discussion about Thai students’ education and their livings, and Iftar breakfast between the Embassy’s officials and approximate 650 Thai Muslim students.
