The Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo organized three concerts by renowned Thai cross-over musical band VieTrio in Sudan and Egypt, all of which are well received by the  audience.

The tour concert started on on 7^th March 2018 at the residence of the El Nefeidi family whose member, Mr. Ahmed El Nefeidi, Royal Thai Honorary Consul in Khartoum kindly hosted the event attended by Sudanese dignitries and foreign diplomats. Another two concerts were organized in Egypt at El Gomhouria Theatre, Cairo and Opera House (Sayed Darwish Theatre) in Alexandria, Alexandria on 12^th and 13^th March 2018 respectively.

During the concerts, VieTrio performed both Thai and Western songs in modern and classical style. The band also performed a few beautiful songs composed by His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. In addition,  the VieTrio concerts in  Egypt  were  joined by a famous Egyptian artist Mr. Belal El Sheikh. Together they performed a few Thai and Egyptian songs which received rounds of applaud from the audience.  The popular Egyptian TV channel ONTV also interviewed the Thai musicians and broadcasted it to the wider Egyptian audience. 

The Royal Thai Embassy annually organizes cultural performance in Egypt as part of the efforts to bring people of the two countries closer.
