Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt paid a visit to October 6 University

                  On 2 June 2014, H.E. Mr. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, paid a visit to October 6 University to meet and discuss with the administration of the University. They were welcomed by Mr. Adel Hammam, Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management.

                  The Ambassador had discussion with Mr. Ahmed Attia Seeda, President of the University, and Ambassador Kheireldin Abdellatif, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustee for International Strategies and Cultural Relations, to discuss ways and means to enhance academic cooperation between the Thai institutes concerned and the University. The two side agreed to renew the 1 year training program in field of tourism, hotel management, language, and computer for approximately 10 Thai students per year. The offer will open for those Thai students who are currently studying in Egypt.

                   On this occasion, the Ambassador took a tour around the University, including the visit to hospital, hotel, museum, and canteen.

                   October 6 University is the first and the largest private university in Egypt, which consists of 14 colleges. Currently, there is a Thai student studying at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management. The University has had cooperation with 5 Rajabhat universities in different regions of Thailand for a number of years.
