Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt presided over the Thai Food Tasting and Demonstration

                 On 21 June 2014, H.E. Mr. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, presided over the Thai Food Tasting and Demonstration, co-organized by the office of Commercial Affairs and the Royal Thai Embassy during 19 – 23 June 2014 at Sabai Sabai restaurant in Zamalek.

                 The aim of this event is to promote Thai foods and Thai products to Egyptian in order to enhance the popularity of Thai foods and Thai products as well as Thainess in Egypt. The participants, most of them are businessmen in Egypt, were invited to join the event. Mr. Pranee (Ton), an experienced Thai chef, demonstrated how to cook Thai foods and Thai deserts such as spicy prawns soup with chili paste (Tomyam Goong), green curry with chickens (Gaeng Kiew Wan Gai), papaya salad (Som Tum), Thai fried noodles with shrimps (Pad Thai Goong Sod) and bananas in coconut milk (Gluai Buat Chi). On this occasion, participants are given the opportunity to cook Thai foods and Thai deserts by themselves. Egyptian importers also displayed Thai imported products in the event. 

                 This event received good feed back with the level of satisfaction of 90.4% from over 200 participants. They enjoyed the activities including buffet lunch in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
