On 20 May 2019 His Excellency Mr. Chainarong Keratiyutwong, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, together with the Embassy’s officers, hosted Iftar for the committee of the Thai Students’ Association in Cairo under the Royal Patronage on an occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, 1440 Hijri, at the Office of the Association. The event experienced warm and cordial atmosphere with having His Excellency joining an Iftar and exchanging views with the committee as well as giving useful advice to advance the students’ education and wellness. Furthermore, the Embassy’s Muslim diplomat also prayed with the committee before having Iftar together.

This event was taken place due to the Embassy’s recognition of significance of fasting and its breakduring the holy month of Ramadan which is a sacred period for the Thai Muslims as well as for the Muslims across the globe. Moreover, the event was also aimed to embolden the Association’s committee to achieve success on their university’s year-end examination    

The Embassy and the Association have had mutual cordial ties and cooperation for more than six decades and have upheld to their determination to promote better education and prosperity for almost 4,000 Thai Muslim students in Egypt.
