By the Order of the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand dated 29 September B.E. 2563 (2020), Thailand has launched a new Special Tourist Visa (STV) which has come into effect on 1 October 2020. Details and requirements of the aforementioned visa category are listed below:

1. Visa Fee: 1,300 EGP

2. Visitors from countries with low cases of COVID-19, as advised by the Ministry of Public Health of the Kingdom of Thailand.

3. Proof of payment at a quarantine in alternative local or hospital quarantine for a minimum of 14 days.

4. Bank statement of the past 6 months with a minimum 500,000 baht or proof of long term residence in the Kingdom of Thailand; such as, payment for alternative state or hospital quarantine, and either of the following: hotel reservation for long stay purposes, evidence of ownership of a condominium, or house or condominium contract.

5. Health and accident insurance coverage that cover the period of their stay in the Kingdom of Thailand, with a minimum 40,000 Baht coverage for outpatient treatment and a minimum 400,000 baht coverage for inpatient hospital and physician services.

6. Health insurance policy which covers treatment and medical expenses in relation to COVID-19, with a minimum coverage of 100,000 USD
