On 2 July 2025, Ambassador Thanawat Sirikul, together with Mr. Niwat Aphichatbutra, Minister Counsellor/ Commercial Attaché, Office of Commercial Affairs in Cairo, met with Mr. Mohamed F. Sabry, President of the Egyptian-Thai Business Council and Chief Executive Officer of United Bros., and Mr. Mohammed Youssef, Executive Director of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA) at the office of United Bros. to discuss promoting trade and investment cooperation between Thailand and Egypt, the operations of the business councils of both countries, facilitating tourists, and future cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and the Egyptian private sector to promote people-to-people relations, such as organizing the Thai Festival and bringing a Thai business delegation to visit Egypt for business matching and seeking trade and investment opportunities by September 2025.
