Free Medical and Dental Services for Thai nationals in Egypt and Sudan 2018

The Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand organized a project to provide free medical and dental services for Thai nationals in Egypt and Sudan during 17 – 27 August 2018. Seven medical and dental personnel from hospitals in the southern border provinces of Thailand took part in the project to provide medical treatment and warm services for approximate 500 Thai nationals, who most of them are Thai Muslim students from the southern border provinces of Thailand. The services provided for four days each in Cairo during 18 – 21 August 2018 and in Khartoum during 23 – 26 August 2018 included general check – up, dental treatment (examination, fillings, extraction, scaling, fluoride coating), and mental health consultation. The Embassy has organized this project and continuously since 2006 to maintain good health and quality of life of Thai nationals in both countries and to reflect the government’s care towards the largest group of Thai Muslim students abroad.
