           On 7 – 8 December 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, in cooperation with Ministry of Culture of Thailand and Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, jointly organized a Thai cultural performance, which consisted of handicraft demonstrations and many Thai cultural performances in Cairo to celebrate the special occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Thailand.

            On 7 December 2014, the Thai cultural performance was held at October 6 University which was attended by Mr. Ahmed Attia Seida, President of Addis Ababa University and over 250 students and lecturers.

            On 8 December 2014, the Thai cultural shows performed at El Gomhouria Theatre which was attended by over 600 guests from the Egyptian government and private sector and diplomatic corps. H.E. Mr. Vira  Rojpojchanarat, Minister of Culture of Thailand, and H.E. Dr. Gaber  Asfour, Minister of Culture of Egypt, delivered their speeches to celebrate the special event. Moreover, Egyptian side arranged the local performances to jointly show as a part of the event as to symbolize the cultural interaction between the two countries.

            During the visit to Cairo, the Minister of Culture, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Culture, the Ambassador and Thai delegation paid courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Gaber  Asfour, Minister of Culture of Egypt, and H.E. Mr. Mamdouh Mohamed Gad El-Damati, Minister of Antiquities, to discuss ways and means to enhance cultural, museum, and antiquities cooperation between Thailand and Egypt.
