On 24 – 25 November 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, in cooperation with Ministry of Culture of Thailand and Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, jointly organized a Thai cultural performance, which consisted of handicraft demonstrations and many Thai cultural performances, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to celebrate the special occasion of the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ethiopia and Thailand.

              On 24 November 2014, the Thai cultural shows performed at Ethiopian National Theatre which was attended by over 400 guests from the Ethiopian government and private sector and diplomatic corps. H.E. Mr. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Dewano Kedir Haji, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, delivered their speeches to celebrate the special event. Moreover, Ethiopian side arranged the local performances to jointly show as a part of the event as to symbolize the cultural interaction between the two countries.

              On 25 November 2014, the Thai cultural performance was held at Addis Ababa University which was attended by Mr. Malaka Wacoma, Vice President of Addis Ababa University and over 500 students and lecturers.

              During his visit to Addis Ababa, the Ambassador and Thai delegation paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Dewano Kedir Haji, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, and discussed ways and means to enhance bilateral relations, especially the activities in 2015. In addition, the Ambassador and his delegation had a meeting with the administrators of Addis Ababa University to discuss academic cooperation between the two sides.
