On 10 April 2025, H.E. Mr. Thanawat Sirikul, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, delivered an opening speech at the 3rd Career Circles event, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo in collaboration with the Thai Students’ Association in Cairo under the Royal Patronage (TSA). The Ambassador told the gathering that tour guides are important parts in people-to-people connectivities, linking people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Thai students in Egypt, who are well-equipped with Arabic language skills, may find the career interesting, as the occupation requires proficiency in the language. Mr. Kitti Wangpitak, Director of Thai-Arab study centre at Thaksina Business Technological College and founder of EgyptSawasdee Facebook page, provided information on the advantages as well as challenges of the career. He also advised the students on how to pursue further study and take an exam for the tour guide license, as well as on techniques for those interested in the occupation. The activity has been positively received by the 36 students participating in the activity, both physically and online. Career circles activity aims to prepare students for careers after graduation.
