The League of Arab States was established on 22 March 1945 in Cairo. It is a regional organisation in the Arab World, comprising 22 members with the main objective to “draw closer relations between member states and coordinate collaboration between them, to safeguard their independence and sovereignty, and to consider in a general way the affairs and interests of the Arab countries.”
