On 9 and 12 November 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, together with Cimatheque and the American University in Cairo (AUC), organised the first screening of Thai films in Egypt, namely “Lemongrass Girl” and “By The Time It Gets Dark” at Cimatheque and AUC. The screening received great interest from Egyptian cinephiles and students. After the movies, the audience had the opportunity to exchange views on various dimensions, such as social, cultural and artistic, which helped promote better understanding about Thailand as well as the Thai film industry in Egypt. The audience at Cimatheque also got to try Thai food and lemongrass drinks.
