On 24 March 2025, ASEAN Ambassadors in Cairo co-hosted a joint iftar in the holy month of Ramadan at the Indonesian Ambassador’s Residence.  The invited guests, including Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and Parliamentary Affairs, former senior Egyptian diplomats, high ranking officials from Office of the Grand Imam and Al-Azhar University, CEO of Egyptian Red Crescent, and representatives from various sectors, had the opportunity to meet with the ASEAN Ambassadors and exchanged views on ways to further promote relations between each other. There were over 70 attendants. In addition, the event also celebrated the presentation of credentials to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt for three ASEAN Ambassadors, including Myanmar Ambassador, Malaysian Ambassador, and Thai Ambassador, in the morning of the same day.
