Ambassador lectures to students from southern border provinces on the topic of "Developing youth skills to prepare for the world of work"

On 16 June 2025, H.E. Mr. Thanawat Sirikul, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, lectured on the topic of "Developing youth skills to prepare for the world of work" at the Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Thanawat emphasized the importance of continued personal development in an era of rapid change and a borderless world, in various sets of skills such as lifelong learning, foreign languages, digital technology, and working with people from diverse backgrounds. He also shared the experience of the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo which supports the skill development of more than 3,100 Thai students in Egypt. On this occasion, Mr. Chanon Ridmad, former president of the Thai Students’ Association in Cairo under the Royal Patronage (69th committee) shared his experience in enhancing skills during his time studying and living in Egypt, which was well received by the students who attended the lecture.

This lecture is part of the 19th Training Programme for students from Thailand’s Southern Border Provinces, which provides them with an opportunity to experience real work and practice the necessary skills to enhance their readiness for the future. More than 30 students attended the lecture.
