On 20 September 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, in collaboration with Thai Students' Association in Cairo, organized Sport Day 2014 at Ashali Stadium, Nasr City.   

              H.E. Mr. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, presided over the opening ceremony of Sport Day 2014 which was participated by over 500 students. In this event, the students and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy grouped into 4 colors teams to compete in standard and traditional sports and games such as Futsal, Volleyball, Tug of War, Athletics, Sack race, and Three-legged race. There was “Cairo’s got talent” contest among representatives of the 4 groups as well.

             In the closing ceremony, the Ambassador gave awards and taken to the respective winners. He stressed the importance of sport, besides help keeping fit and healthy but also helps in enhancing harmony and unity among students.
