Medical and Dental Services to Thai people in Egypt and Sudan

               On 26 February 2014, H.E. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt presided over the opening of the Project of Medical and Dental Services to Thai people in Egypt and the Sudan. The project was organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC), Ministry of Public Health of Thailand and Thai Students' Associations in Cairo and in the Sudan. In Egypt, the project was held during 26 February – 2 March 2014 at the Residence of the Ambassador, while in the Sudan, the Embassy dispatched a team of doctor and dentist to provide medical and dental check up and healthcare to Thai students in Khartoum during 27 February – 1 March 2014 at the office of Honorary Thai Consulate-General.  

               The project received good feedback with approximately 350 Thais in Egypt and 150 in the Sudan, most of whom are students, enjoyed the health services provided by the Embassy. On this occasion, the SBPAC's Secretary General, Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, and his delegation  and Ambassador Sayed Kassem El- Masry, Special Advisor to the Secretary General of Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), also attended the closing ceremony of the project on 2 March 2014 at the Ambassador's residence.
