On 17 January 2014, Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, headed by H.E. Mr. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, organized an overseas voting at the Thai Consulate-General in Khartoum, Sudan. The voting went smoothly with 175 Thais turned out to cast their votes which represent about 58% of the total registration. During the visit to Sudan, the Embassy also provided consular services including passport application and legalization to Thai citizens in Khartoum.
