The Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo organized Thai traditional performances under the theme “Cultural Friendship from the Land of Smile” on 6^th April 2019 at Egyptian Shooting Club, 7^th April 2019 at 6 October University and 10^th April 2019 at German University in Cairo in order to promote Thai culture in Egypt.

 The cultural shows by cultural troupe from Chulalongkorn University and Buddhaisawan Sword Fighting Institute comprising various dances from different regions of Thailand as well as traditional Thai martial arts including Muay Thai were performed with live music of Thai instruments. The events were well received in all the venues with high number of Egyptian audiences. The popular Egyptian TV channel DMC also interviewed the Thai cultural troupe and recorded the performances for further broadcast to Egyptian general public.

The Royal Thai Embassy annually organizes cultural performance in Egypt as part of the efforts to bring people of the two countries closer. These performances gave Egyptians a unique opportunity to enjoy the charm of the land of smiles.
