On 13 May 2024, Mr. Niwat Apichartbutra, Commercial Attaché, Office of Commercial Affairs in Cairo, and Ms. Thanavon Pamaranon, Counsellor, Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo, met with Dr. Alaa Ezz, Secretary-General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) at the FEDCOC Office in Cairo. The meeting discussed about trade and investment opportunities in Egypt, south-south cooperation between Egypt and other developing countries, mission and work of FEDCOC, as well as ways to promote cooperation between Thailand and FEDCOC.

On this occasion, the Commercial Attaché also informed the Secretary-General about Thailand’s proactive economic diplomacy and activities undertaken such as business matching, Thai business delegation visit to Egypt, and the visit of Egyptian business delegation to Thailand with the focus on investment, which will take place in June this year.
