On 1-2 October 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy led a Thai business delegation to pay a courtesy call on Major General Islam Attia Rayan, Chairman of Board of Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Company for Fisheries and Aquaculture of Egypt, to discuss about possible cooperation on fishery between Thailand and Egypt.

In addition, the Thai business delegation visited to fish farms projects in the north of Egypt on the Mediterranean Sea, namely Al Fayrouz fish farm in the Port Said Governorate and Ghalioun fish and shrimps farm in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate.

The abovementioned activities are part of the Embassy’s initiative on business-matching for the Thai private sector with the Egyptian side in the fields of agriculture and fishery.
