On 2 March 2025. H.E. Mr. Thanawat Sirikul, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, together with Mr. Niwat Apichartbutra, Commercial Attaché, Office of Commercial Affairs in Cairo, visited Japan Food Solutions (JFS) S.A.E. premises at the 6th of October City in Giza. The Ambassador was briefed by Mr. Emad Said, Senior Managing Director, on JFS, which was established in 2012 to produce processed vegetables and fruits for export. The production capacity of frozen strawberries stands at 25,000 tonnes annually while the company’s share in the Japanese market accounts for 40 percent. At present, there are 380 workers, and the company gives importance to women empowerment. Furthermore, Ambassador Sirikul witnessed the production line of frozen strawberries which puts great emphasis on hygiene and quality control as well as exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation in agriculture and food security through the exchange of visits of the private sector, participation in THAIFEX Anuga Asia, business matching activities, sharing of technical knowledge, etc.

On this occasion, the Ambassador also visited the strawberry farm which supplies fresh strawberries to JFS. The farm applies dripping irrigation system and biopesticide which could be areas of interest for Thailand.
