On 22 January 2025. H.E. Mr. Thanawat Sirikul, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, along with Mr. Niwat Apichartbutra, Commercial Attaché, Office of Commercial Affairs in Cairo, met with Mr. Emad Said, Senior Managing Director of Japan Seafood Solutions S.A.E. and delegation at the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo.

The meeting discussed the business opportunities in the food sector and technical cooperation between Thailand and Egypt since Egypt is the world’s leading exporter of fresh and frozen fruits such as strawberries, mangoes, oranges, and grapes and has leading technology in irrigation systems in the desert. At the same time, Egypt expressed interest in learning technology of cultivation from the Thai side. On this occasion, the Ambassador also invited representatives of the company to participate in the Embassy’s business matching project to be held in Egypt this year.
