On 4 March 2024, Mr. Thanabordee Joothong, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. invited Prof. Dr. Hatim Osman M. Khair, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gasm Elseed Ibrahim Mohamed, and Dr. Hala Kamal, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, International University of Africa, for a meeting at the Embassy to find ways to help Thai students who have been evacuated from Sudan back to Thailand in 2023 and to seek advice on obtaining diploma for students who have completed their studies as well as the students of the Faculty of Medicine who wished to continue with their studies.
