On 11 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Thanawat Sirikul, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, received a briefing on the security situation in the region from Ambassador Amr Hamza, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates. The briefing reaffirmed Egypt's position, security situation, and ongoing commitment to economic reforms and promotion of trade and investment. On this occasion, the Egyptian side also expressed its readiness to assist in the evacuation of nationals through Egypt if requested.
