On 2 September 2022, H.E. Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, presided over the Opening Ceremony of Thailand Food Festival 2022: Discover Excellent Taste of Thailand at Lulu Hypermarket Emerald Plaza. The Festival is organized by the Office of Commercial Affairs in Cairo which aimed to promote Thai food products to wider consumers in Egypt. At the Festival, there were Thai cooking demonstration and famous Thai street food to try such as Papaya Salad (Som Tam), Pad Thai, Fish Cake, Fried Fish balls, and Mango and Sticky Rice
