On 27 February 2025. H.E. Mr. Thanawat Sirikul, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, together with Mr. Niwat Apichartbutra, Commercial Attaché, Office of Commercial Affairs in Cairo, met with Mr. Mohammed S. Fabry, Chief Executive Officer of United Bros. and Chairman of the Egyptian-Thai Business Council, at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Ambassador was briefed on Mr. Sabry’s recent visit to Thailand where he met Mr. Asi Tansatith, Chairman of the Thailand-Egypt Business Council, and visited the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) EXPO 2025 which interesting sectors included tourism, ship building, car tires, hotel, food, and film industry.

Furthermore, the Ambassador stressed the importance of strengthening people-to-people connectivity and raising awareness about Thailand in Egypt. Recently, the Office of Commercial Affairs organised Thai Food Bazaar 2025 between 13-16 February 2025 which was a great success with more than 8,500 participants. The Embassy also invited a cultural crew from Thailand to performance at the event. On this occasion, the Ambassador discussed the possibility of organising “Thai Festival” during the end of 2025 to promote many sectors, including tourism, film, medical tourism, etc.
