On 7 May 2023, H.E. Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, hosted dinner for Mr. Ahmed Bashir Elnefeidi, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Khartoum, and his family at the Ambassador's Residence, to express appreciation for cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy in evacuating Thai nationals and students from Sudan. The Honorary Consul performed an important role in providing food in time of needs as well as transportation arrangement so that the 236 Thai nationals and students could return to Thailand safely.
