On 17 March 2024, Mr. Thanabordee Joothong Chargé d'Affaires a.i, attended the 269th ASEAN Committee in Cairo (ACC) Meeting at Tahrir Diplomatic Club, chaired by Indonesia. The Meeting discussed about the ACC Annual Activities in 2024 to raise awareness about ASEAN in Egypt.

Afterwards, ACC hosted a joint iftar in the month of Ramadan for high ranking Egyptian officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Grand Imam, Al-Azhar University, and representatives from investment authorities, academic, business and media sectors as well as Ambassadors from Muslim countries in Cairo. There were over 100 attendants.
