On 18 May 2022, H.E. Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, met Professor Dr. Amr Ibrahim Abdelrahman Elatraby, Vice President of Badr University in Cairo (BUC), and Professor Dr. Ahmed A. Zayed, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Both sides discussed the promotion of educational cooperation between Thailand and Egypt. BUC is opening the new Department of Islamic Studies, which uniquely combines the studies of Islam with other fields of studies, such as business and media, in order to prepare the students for work after graduation. BUC is an international university with classes taught in the English language, has the second largest campus in Egypt, and has lots of green space throughout the university.
