On 23 August 2022, H.E. Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, paid a courtesy call on Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Imam Sheikh of Al-Azhar, to express appreciation to Al-Azhar University for Thai students’ scholarships and taking good care of Thai students. The Thai Ambassador informed Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed El-Tayeb of activities the Royal Thai Embassy has conducted with the Thai students. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed El-Tayeb commended Thai students for their hard work and their charity/voluntary works. On this occasion, the Thai Ambassador presented a financial contribution from the Royal Thai Government to Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed El-Tayeb to express the Royal Thai Government’s appreciation and support.
